Salut les gars, c'est Elder Shaw, le missionnaire de l'eglise de Jésus-Christ des saints des derniers jours. Hope y'all are all absouloutely fantabulous.

Wow, I can't believe its already been a week since last Pday. Time actually flies wen you're just locked in on the mission. Also its low key Groundhog day sometimes haha. Like for example, its wake up to something that makes you wanna cry because its 6:30, say a prayer, either play soccer at the park across from our house with a few of the other missionaries, or do morning sport at our house. Personal study for a few hours, make breakfast which consists of eggs, potatoes, lardons, or Formage blanc, which is a yogurt type thingy. Its gas. Then we leave, take the bus to the train station, then usually go there or downtown Geneva and just talk with everyone, around 12-13h we go to te store, buy lunch for around 4-6CFH each day (unless we pack a PB&J) then eat, comp study, do contacts, lessons, all that fun jazz, depends on the day. then keep grinding till we have to go home around 20-21h at night. So not too shabby, I freaking love this life and am so happy I get to do it for the next 2 years!

Here's some lil highlights from this week

Had a fun time at service! Each week we go to this site that helps struggling refugees get food and the basic necessities to live (soap, diapers, all that) then we got absoloutely poured on. Twas fun. Also another Elder asked me "Shaw, how do I get energized talking to people?" And I said "Just go and do, and you'll find people that'll listen." Sometimes it sucks. People ignoring you all day, people being rude, getting in bashes with Muslims (Not gonna lie, it's hecka fun) but it also forces you to love everyone. Just be a good soul and people see that. Also with some bashes, often people will say "Jesus Christ was a prophet, but he wasn't the son of God, or God and Jesus are the same person, you're going to Hell for what you're doing." All this stuff, and I literally respond with kindness and also stand for what I say. No matter what someone says, I know I have my testimony of these simple facts

1. God the Father created each of us, has a plan for us to return back to him because he loves each of us dearly and personally.

2. Jesus Christ is his Son and he suffered and died for our sins. Making it possible that we can be forgiven of our sins and will be able to go back to our loving Heavenly Father. That is called the atonement.

3. The Holy Ghost is a gift that God has given us. It is the 3rd member of the Godhead. It guides us in our daily lives, comforts us and helps us in all aspects of our life. We receive the Holy Ghost after we are baptized and keep our covenants (Promises) with God.

4. We will be blessed as we keep our covenants and as we continue to be the best person we can be, to always love God and to continue to be faithful.

Those simple truths are things I can testify of all day. And I could go on and mansplain this for like 20 mins, but that's the simple basics.

I guess that's my spiritual thought haha.

Anyway, yeah the rest of this week was great. We had some gas food from the Spanish ward that the spanish missionaries invited us to. We had conference on saturday night which was amazing. we invited a bunch of ourfriends to that.

Same thing on Sunday, we had conference at the church, that was great! on Monday I went on exchanges with Elder Graff, my ZL. He's actually the freaking GOAT! We just had an amazing time being able to testify of our faith, and talk to everyone. He gave me so much advice and wisdom which I'm actually so grateful for!

On Pday we went to Annecy. It's this beautiful spot in France. But as we were going there, we went to the wrong spot which caused us to have to take a later train. Then we get on the right one a few hours later, and as we're about to hop off, we get our tickets checked, which we thought were totally fine, but we were literally 1 minute outside of our zone, so then we had to each pay 50 Euros each. Which totally sucked. C'est triste. But ça va. Then we met up with everyone and it was great! Watched this homeless guy get the crap kicked out of him. kinda wild but yeah. Then he started bugging this other shop owner and get the crap kicked out of him again. I'm like bruh. Then he comes up to all of us and wants us to give him money, then gets mad at us, because we only have Missionary Sacred Funds credit cards and not cash. Bruhhh. Then we came back to the church and the work continues.

I guess I already had a spiritual thought so yeah, Hope you all are doing amazing! and I can't wait to see you all in the next one! peace.

Elder Shaw
