Hey everyone!

It feels so crazy writing this now as a missionary. It all happened so fast.

On Friday, I got my endowment. In our Church, you go to the temple before you become a missionary. It's basically where you make promises to God that you'll strive to keep for the rest of your life. It was a really special experience.

Then on Tuesday night, I went to my church, met with my Stake President (a local Church leader), and got set apart as a missionary. Wednesday came around, and just like that I started my online missionary training (Home MTC). I do two weeks of Zoom classes, then on July 7th I fly out to Utah, where I'll be at the Missionary Training Center (MTC) for about a month. After that, absolutely sliming our France!

I'm only three days into my online classes, but we as a district (my group) already only say prayers in French, and during some lessons, our teacher only speak French. So me personally... I feel kinda stupid.

Literally everyone in my district but me a 2 others (there are 12 of us) has taken some sort of French before. Some are fluent, and some have only taken a semester, but me? Non. So it's been kinda difficult trying to catch up with everyone else. I don't feel like too much of a bottleneck, but I really hope it all just "clicks" soon and starts making sense.

My companion (basically my partner), Elder Evensen is actually the chillest guy ever. He lives about five minutes away from where I grew up in Utah as a kid. It's funny because I used to ride my bike past his house all the time while timing myself. Small world. I'm so excited to finally meet this guy in a few weeks.

It's been a weird adjustment becoming a missionary. I'm used to taking business calls, working jobs, answering customers, and jumping on my phone whenever I had a spare moment. Before I left, I taught my dad all the tools I use to run the business, so he's been taking over that side of everything. They ran their first big full-house cleanout without me on Wednesday. Honestly, it was bittersweet to see. On one hand, it pained me that I couldn't be there to help. But on the other hand, I'm so happy to see the legacy of Junk Pros still thriving. That's something I'm really grateful for.

The Crew 🥹. We got Elli, Calvin, Dad, Griffin (Baby Griff) and Luke (Xiao Ling)

Before I go, I wanted to share the prayer in French that I've been working on.

Cher Père Céleste, merci pour l'esprit et nos bénédictions. Bénis ma famille et mes amis. Au nom de Jésus-Christ, amen.

In a normal Language, it says this “Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for the spirit, my Friends, Family and our blessings. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Also I’d love to reply to your emails, and stay in touch!

Love y'all. ✌️
