October Recap: Sprinting to Flights, Flips Again, and Halloween Surprises!
Hey Guys,
October was jam-packed with excitement, travel, projects, and some hilarious moments. Here’s the rundown:
Flying Solo
I flew to Utah on my own, almost missing my flight thanks to traffic. Picture me sprinting through the airport, barely making it! The reason I was flying this time is because my Uncle thought it would be cool if I came out and surprised my little cousin for his birthday for a few days. But surprising my little cousin for his birthday made it all worth it—his reaction was priceless since he had no idea I was coming.
Utah Adventures
While I was in Utah, we hit up a trampoline park, and I surprised myself by landing a flyaway and a backflip on my first tries, even though it’s been months since I’ve flipped. A little kid even asked if I was a YouTuber and said he loved my flips—so thanks to whoever he confused me with for the secondhand fame! Flying solo, coordinating everything myself, and navigating the airport on my own was a cool experience.
Canada: Dirt Bikes & Northern Lights
In Canada, I was back on dirt bikes with friends. On the second day, I got the hang of jumps and hill climbs, but the first day was rough—I almost wiped out over a gap I didn’t see coming. We also saw the northern lights, which turned out to be way more impressive than I’d imagined.
Backflip Breakthrough
At a parkour gym, I finally nailed a backflip on the ground! Then, the next day, I hit a small dirt bike jump, lost control, and crashed. The adrenaline kicked in, and I started hobbling back to the house to get help until my friend picked me up in the UTV. My right foot was hurt, and in a boot for 2 weeks, so driving was interesting...left foot for the brake, right for the gas. It worked, though!
New Projects
My friend and I launched a gutter cleaning business—website, forms, the works—and the next day, we started TailorMadeTunes.com, an AI-powered love song generator. People fill out a form on our site, and we send back a personalized AI-generated song. Pretty fun project, and it’s been cool to see it come together.
Haunted Maze “Rizz” Moment
We went to a haunted maze, and I somehow ended up “rizzing” up one of the workers! She tried to scare us, but I just fist-bumped her. She ended up walking with us for a bit, even held my hand as we went down the path. We took a selfie, then the next day I found out she’s 18...with a boyfriend. Shot my shot and got as far as I could! 😭🤣
New Ideas and Next Steps
Had a breakthrough on a T-shirt and hoodie design I’ve been working on. Talking with my dad, we discussed two options: build a following for it over time or pitch it to an influencer who already has the reach. Not sure yet, but it’s exciting to have a plan. I used ideogram.ai for the design, and I made the design on the back that says “What’s your story?” underneath a backpack with pictures coming out of it. And I made a logo that I’m proud of.
Starting on Fiverr
Remember “AlrightSites.com”? It didn’t really go anywhere since I just put it out there without marketing. Now, I’ve got a Fiverr account where people can order a simple one-page website for $20. Just something on the side to keep projects coming in.
Gym Milestone
It was my first time hitting a public gym (not a hotel or home gym), and it was one of the best workouts I’ve ever had. Being able to really push myself physically felt so good, and the feeling of being sore felt incredible. It made me feel like I really had to work for it. I
That’s a wrap for October! Whether you’re here for inspiration or entertainment, I hope you found something to take away from this month’s email. Thanks for following along, and happy Halloween!
Catch you next month,
Michael
