May's Experiences: First Real Podcast, Jiu-Jitsu Moves, and Overcoming Flip Fears!
Hey Guys,
May has been a mix of new experiences, challenges, and some awesome breakthroughs. Here’s what went down:
First Interview Podcast
I had my first podcast interview with William Larsen, a financial advisor and team leader from L.A. At first, I was pretty nervous and worried I’d mess up in front of him and all the listeners. But then I just focused on listening to him and really taking in his words. That’s what made the interview a success (at least in my opinion)!
Jiu-Jitsu Breakthroughs
In Jiu-Jitsu, my coach gave me some one-on-one time to teach me a special move. It’s where you hold onto your opponent, step onto them, swing over their neck, and then push them down with your leg while locking in an arm bar. It’s definitely one of my favorites now! A few days later, we learned another cool move where you grab the person, step around them, and throw them over your shoulder. It's a blast showing this move to friends, and my little sister is probably tired of being tossed around by now! 🤣
Travel and Tramps
We’re back in America and visited a trampoline park with family. I discovered I’ve developed a mental block with backflips on the ground or air track. I can still do front and side flips, but backflips have become a challenge. It’s frustrating, but I know the way to overcome it is to keep practicing on the tramp until I’m ready to try it on the ground again.
Guitar Revival
Picked up my guitar again and was surprised that I wasn’t as rusty as I thought I would be. Remembering chords and favorite songs boosted my confidence. It’s a good reminder that I can overcome my mental blocks with flips too.
HomeschoolAuthor.com Shoutout
A podcast listener reached out after hearing about my HomeschoolAuthor.com course in another episode. It was super cool to see genuine interest in what I’ve created and to share more about the course.
That’s some of the highlights for this month. Thanks for stopping by.
Catch you later,
Michael
