March ReCap: From Interviews to YouTube Course!

March's Journey: From Dad's Interview to Launching Courses and Websites, Embracing Challenges and Sharing Discoveries.

March was awesome! It started off with an interview with my Dad - yeah, I interviewed him.

I Learned a ton, it felt kind of weird at first because I'm not used to that style of conversation, but it was actually fun.

Then I focused on YouTube and made a course on the entire process of how I made my book. It's all out there, start to finish. Also, I launched https://homeschoolauthor.com/ - it ties in with my YouTube, it has all of the prompts I use, links to my videos, and links to some of my other websites, and newsletter. If you used the YouTube course then you'd love it!

After that, I made a website with my Dad to surprise our Jiu-Jitsu coach. He was so excited, he showed everybody there, and searched it up and everything! I hadn't seen anyone that happy in a while, it was as if he were a little kid again on Christmas morning! https://juanpablovallone.com/

Then I revamped my old "Parkour Prodigy" newsletter into this. - now it's about my world, the Michael Shaw Newsletter- https://michaelshaw.beehiiv.com/, Where I share what I've done, learned, challenges, and all that.

I then reached out to homeschool organizations in Tennessee, to spread the word about -https://homeschoolauthor.com/, aiming to inspire young writers.

Also, I just launched a mini side hustle where I make simple one-page websites on carrd.co. For my Dad and his friends. I made it super quick, easy, and simple. - https://alrightsites.com/

Something cool is that I always get business ideas all the time. So that's a way I keep myself busy.

Here are the key takeaways:

First I wrote out my goals on a piece of paper, and being able to check them off was a great feeling. I don't like to talk about what I want to do or what the next "big idea" is, because I don't want to get the payoff for not actually doing something. I've learned that ideas usually mean nothing, and taking action and completing the task means everything!

Key challenges:

I learned that I need to get better at talking on camera and doing more interviews. I think it’s all about learning and actually doing and putting the reps in, and from there, you're bound to get better.

So yeah, that’s March for you - packed, productive, and a bit challenging. Thanks for sticking around.

see you in the next one!

-Michael
